Hello I'm leigh, I run a family business concentrating on Stove installation and repair, plumbing and tiling work. I have been a member of My Builder since 2011 and proud. As part of a 6 year apprenticeship my father taught me not only how to tile, plumb etc but how to be a tradesman. The difference being any one can plumb or tile a wall but can you do it to a professional standard every time. I have a large client list / portfolio and treat each job with the same respect no matter how small.

I served as an apprentice for too many years! After I had proven myself I was 8 years as a self employed plumber / tiler also i spent 1 year as a trainer in college teaching experienced tilers advanced techniques to make their work life easier, I became a stove installer to compliment the plumbing side of the business and now have maintenence contracts with local agents in the surrounding areas for all trades from stove installs, painting through to gas installation and offer a 15 yr warranty. For the last 5 years I have managed one of the largest stove installation companies in Cornwall and have assisted in changing it from a team of 4 to over 20.
My passion lies with the after sales and technical advice so I personally conduct completion checks on all work before payment is accepted. This ensures that all clients are pleased before leaving the job.
I frequently answer installers questions when they get stuck and need assistance.

We contacted Leigh of Stove Repair UK to undertake a sweep of the chimney and inspect the log stove of our house. Leigh was prompt to arrive, courteous & very friendly. From the offset he was clearly very knowledgeable about his trade. We showed Leigh the various problems we had with the property and he provided sound advice despite this not being in scope of the original job. Therefore, due to Leigh’s professional and knowledgeable approach we asked for a quote.
Upon handing everything to Leigh he very kindly project managed the entire process and necessary repairs including managing with neighbours, building control and roofers, Matt Cole, Dan , Elliot, Graham etc. From the original scope of having a chimney swept, scaffolding appeared and we ended up having the chimney breast removed to ridge level & rebuilt as the chimney was leaning & leaking water into the property. In its rebuild we had a lead tray, weep holes, new pots, caps & liners. Even though lining the flue was difficult due to a blockage Leigh & his team resolved the issue promptly thanks to his experience. Once the chimney had been rebuilt & the log burner & gas burner had been professionally re installed & commissioned (including smoke test/CCTV) the team replaced the roof.
We now have a lovely new chimney, working log & gas burners and water tight new roof. We cannot thank Leigh and his team enough. Leigh’s customer care and service is impeccable we would recommend him to anyone. Thank you so much Leigh!mark94249- 18thJan, 2021Positive review
