Green mould on bedroom wall and black patch on ceiling

I noticed a while ago a patch of green mould on the wall in our back bedroom, at the other end of the room was a black patch on the ceiling. The front bedroom had a tiny tiny patch of black on the ceiling and today I have noticed some new mould growing on the ceiling. My husband has been up in the loft and can't seem to see any damp patches, and I'm really worried as to what could be causing it. Advice please!!

Hi there, yes that is a common problem, if your felt under your tiles is not breathable and your loft is well insulated then it causes a lot of condensation. Your roof needs ventilating and the cheapest and most effective way is to add vent tiles to your roof to allow it to breathe. I hope this helps you sort your problem.

Many thanks
Danny

Hi Becky
It might be worth checking your guttering,if it's clogged it will cause mould/damp to the internal walls on that side of the building.
All the best.
