Covering a poor floor (half concrete and half floor boards) before laying lino
I want to lay Lino over a poor base in a kitchen. The problem is that the floor is half concrete (uneven & with holes) and half old floor boards (uneven, loose & with gaps). What is the best subfloor solution? All the advice I've seen refers to just 1 type of base (eg self level for concrete or ply for wood) I have both! If I lay ply what thickness do I need & how do I fix it the areas that have the concrete base?

Plywood the wood with 5.5mm SP101 flooring plywood.
The screed the concrete area with a good quality Screeding compound like F.balls green bag and finish it flush with the plywood. Then you could screed the whole lot with a fibre screed like f.ball 700 or Mapei renovation.
