Spluttering hot water tap

Hi

The hot water side of the kitchen tap has recently started spluttering badly when opened slightly it flows fine once the tap is opened fully it’s the old style compression washer design of tap the cold water side works fine as do the taps in the bathroom and we have another mixer tap in the garage which works fine as well.

We have a condenser boiler so no tank.

Any advice would be great thanks

Hi,

Could be an airlock but as it’s a combi boiler it’s more likely to be a sign that the tap isn’t / wasn’t able to work at the higher pressures Of the combi and the valve on that side is on its way out. Perhaps a new kitchen tap is needed.
