Certificate authenticity for building liability cover by the builder
我计划有一个总房子装修包括uding new central heating and retiring. In selecting a builder for your renovation, how do I know they have a “valid” insurance liability cover? Same goes to electrical and gas safe work.
Please let me know what certificates they should be and how to verify they are real or still valid? Thank you.

The best way to check if the documents are valid is to get in touch with the issuer and they should be able to confirm the documents autenticity

You can check registration for electrical and gas Safe online or ring them.
Liability insurance. As for his insurer to validate. Even tho he has certificate he can cancel and still have the paper. Also get recommendations and check his work he has done for other people

I agree with the initial answer, insofar as current insurance indemnity documentation (policy &c.) can (should) be presented to the client by whatever means. This can be easily verified with the insurers should the client wish it.
Regarding utility services, all have their own regulatory bodies who certify installers once they satisfy the organisation's various gradings and disciplines, with their own personal registration details; inter alia: gas - Gas Safe; electricity - NICEIC; updating DHW plumbing - unvented cylinder installer; renewables - MCS.
Again any can be verified with the respective body should the client wish it.
Indeed wherever there is a distinct matter of safety and or specialist knowledge, (eg structural matters, requires a Structl Engr), then undoubtedly there will be a governing body that publishes Code. Building Regulations is always a good place to start.
