My builder is refusing to do work which was asked and agreed to be done
你好,如果有人可以帮助我将非常感激me, me and my husband wanted our kitchen completely done we got recommend this builder by a guy we know from work and we meet this guy about 2 or 3 times asking questions telling him everything we wanted done to the kitchen he then gave us a quote I wasnt to happy for the amount of work he had down on this quote as not everything we asked to be done was down on this quote so my husband had the builder come back round to our house to ask him.loads of questions to which the builder wrote the answer down him self he started work on our kitchen on the 17th Feb and told us it will take about 2 weeks we are now at the end of week 4 with still no kitchen finished he is also now saying that the plastering and painting isnt included and I have it in his writing that it would be there are loads of things that need correctly due to poor workmanship and the guy we hired has even had his workforce in my house who have been smoking cannabis on my property coming in to do work in my kitchen stoned and my 10 year old daughter has had to smell this while having breakfast and getting ready for school we had spoken to the build who we had hired that we wasnt happy as he came to our house smelling of cannabis again and I had also spoken to the main guy on the phone and he ensured we he wasnt coming back to my house but yet he did send him back to do more work what can I do

Gosh! I feel very sorry for you. If it was my home and my family and my kitchen I would just ask them to leave and try and get someone else to rectify the bad workmanship and finish off the kitchen for you. I would not have people in the house working on my kitchen that have been taking drugs. (But then I would be fitting my own kitchen!). Sorry, I am sure you will lose some money through this persons actions but your families safety is paramount. You would not want to have a 'high' person working on your electrics or gas!

Never just take a recommendation from friends did this friend have work done by this builder? also turning up to work (stoned) is a violation of the health and safety requirements and may cause a danger to you and your family as well as the workers themselves and he can be reported to the local Building Control Officer and other authorities you would be best to avoid any further work to be carried out and if you have any monies owing to the builder dont pay! it also it my be advisable to contact your solicitor.
If you require the work to be finished contact My Builder who will be able to offer local trades people with references who will come and quote you,

抱歉这里灾难故事,建筑商莱克阀门e that should be named and shamed, and definately told to pack up there tools and leave the job, take photos of the work and speak to a solicitor, unfortunately these type of so called tradesmen operate with no standards and give you the customer an opinion that all builders are the same, I have followed these kind of people many times having to put work right and restore customer faith is the hardest part.
do not pay any more money to your existing builder, tell him you handing it over to your solicitor to deal with and hope you get reassured by the professional you get in next to finish the work.
